On a rainy day we visit Mark van Weerd and his machinist in Spijkenisse, who bought a Doosan DX57W-5 midi excavator a while back. Mark started his business about five years ago. After years of experience as a road worker, at 33 it was time to take the step to start his own business with three employees and a flexible layer of a few people. He is proud of what the company has become in such a short time.
Project
The moment we visit, Mark and his husband are working hard to completely provide the shopping center of Spijkenisse with a new pavement. They have been on the project since February and are laying the last stones. He has yet to see what Mark's next project will be. "There are so many requests that I really have to sit down and think about what the next job will be."

“Overall, I'm super happy with how everything went. We were immediately taken seriously at Staad and we sometimes see that differently at other companies. Even though we came in sweatpants, it didn't matter to Staad. That felt really good right away. I can't really name anything that didn't go well. The only thing that might have been slightly different is the counterweight. In my opinion, this is now just a little too close to the tire, so that the suspension does not work as I would like. But our contact person Sjoerd from Staad is working on a solution. And that for me is where the difference is made. Staad always comes up with a solution and will help us at all times. The tiltrotator we have has been a really good move. We have a lot of equipment for the pavement and that works very easily and quickly. It takes some getting used to for the driver because this is his first time using it, but I'm sure we will benefit a lot from it."

“We came across Staad by chance. I saw the midi excavator and immediately thought this is a nice machine. The Doosan DX57W-5 midi digger is really a perfect machine for paving work. Plus the fact that the machine was completely painted in our company colors makes it really complete for me. For the driver, the cabin is really luxurious, you can even easily store a small cool box and your coat. In addition to the fact that the machine is completely to your liking, we also consciously chose Staad. You can buy a machine from a dealer on the corner, but what do you buy? Staad is an importer/dealer and then you know that you are buying what is right from a company. In addition, it was nice on delivery that everything was immediately fully explained by Frank, it was a lot that just came to you, but afterwards I called Frank a few more times and he was always able to explain everything to me.
