The Doosan DX800LC-7 offers high power with great comfort and flexibility
Doosan launches the new Doosan DX800LC-7 Stage V, also the largest excavator Doosan has ever presented. The first Doosan DX800LC-7 has already been sold in Europe, namely in beautiful Finland!
The Doosan DX800LC-7 is powered by the most powerful engine in the 80 tonne class and also has the highest hydraulic power. The machine has higher productivity, lower fuel consumption and smooth operation.
As with all other Doosan excavators, the Doosan DX800LC-7 has paid a lot of attention to comfort, but also to the safety of the operator. The machine has a newly designed and extra spacious cab, equipped with ergonomic controls. Special attention has also been paid to ensure that noise is kept to a minimum by better sealing the engine compartment, with additional use of sound-damping materials.
All components in the machine are made, built and tested on it so that it happens as sustainably as possible. The components that contribute to this are; multi-stage filters, track guards, cylinder guards, automatic grease lubrication system and sealed track links. These components also help to provide reliability and longevity. The Doosan DX800LC-7 is easy to maintain, minimizing machine downtime.
Stage V engine with the highest power in its class
The Doosan DX800LC-7 is powered by the new Stage V version of the proven Perkins 2506J diesel engine, which delivers a high output of 403 kW (548 hp). The engine meets Stage V emission regulations by utilizing exhaust gas recirculation, selective catalyst reduction, diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter (DPF) after-treatment technologies.
The DPF regenerates automatically every 25 hours and the Doosan DX800LC-7 continues to run continuously during this regeneration phase. As an operator you can check the status of the DPF via the display on the meter panel in the cab.
Highest hydraulic output in the 80 tonne class
The high power of the engine is combined with a Virtaul Bleed Off (VBO) hydraulic system (ECO Power +), which ensures that the hydraulic flow rate of 1008 l/min and a high system pressure of 343 bar delivers. Together, this contributes to the industry's best performance of an 80 tonne excavator.
The Doosan ECOPOWER+ technology uses an electronic pressure-controlled pump in the closed center hydraulic system to optimize productivity and fuel consumption depending on the mode selected. A closed central main control valve minimizes pressure loss, while the electric pressure-regulated pump manages and optimizes engine power more effectively.
Then we have the software used to electronically reproduce all the benefits of an open center hydraulic system with as little energy loss as possible. The hydraulic system and engine power are optimized and synchronized, minimizing losses in the system.
We have installed the latest joysticks, which means that the machine control feels pleasant and the operator can perform optimally here. The acceleration and deceleration functions are smooth, allowing operators to perform repetitive swing and dig movements.
Choice of boom and swim modes
To optimize work with the Doosan DX800LC-7 during a project, the operator can switch between two modes namely boom and swing mode, giving priority to boom or swing movements. This allows the operator to adjust his machine to the work he or she does with it.
Higher working speeds are guaranteed by the Boom Down Regeneration system with two coils in the Doosan DX800LC-7, significantly reducing fuel consumption. The two-spool hydraulic system for the bucket cylinder also increases hydraulic outputs and working speed of the bucket, further reducing fuel consumption. The Doosan DX800LC-7 has a boom/arm cylinder lockout valve (anti-hose break protection) as standard, ensuring safety and preventing accidents.
Increased comfort and controllability
The new cab of the Doosan DX800LC-7 is a luminary in terms of space, comfort and ease of operation for the operator. The cab has a new high quality seat and offers more features as standard than other machines in its class, ensuring high controllability and fine precision in all applications. The main functions in the cabin are:
A full view around the machine through cameras is standard, consisting of a front camera, two side cameras and a rear camera. The camera display is separated from the meter panel and offers full all-round visibility. This gives the operator a top view of the area outside the machine. This is standard on the machine and is combined with an AVM system (Around view monitoring).
LED work lights are also standard on the Doosan DX800LC-7, providing up to 75% better illumination of the work area around the excavator, improving productivity at dusk, at night and to help prevent accidents on the job .
The new Doosan DX800LC-7 is factory installed with Doosan's state-of-the-art Doosan Connect wireless fleet monitoring system. The Doosan Connect system provides a web-based solution for your fleet management which is very useful to monitor the performance and safety of the machines and to promote preventive maintenance.
Easy maintenance
The cooling system in the Doosan DX800LC-7 offers greater cooling capacity with a lower fan speed and power requirement for the cooling fan. A reversible cooling fan is fitted as standard, which can be used in reverse to blow out dust in the radiator and oil cooler. This saves time and effort on maintenance work and makes the Doosan DX800LC-7 ideal for working in heavy projects.
Complementing the great performance, the Doosan DX800LC-7 is designed for maximum field availability with proven, high quality, durable components such as Bosch Rexroth MCV, main pump systems, Doosan Mottrol swing mechanism and a very robust Berco undercarriage.
The Doosan DX800LC-7 has a new heavy duty front end with a total of five different front combinations based on 6.6 meters at its shortest and 7.7 meters at its longest. The design of the counterweight has been changed to include a horizontal mounting system in the Doosan DX800LC-7, which is easy to assemble and disassemble for better durability.
The Doosan DX800LC-7 also has a standard ETP (Electric Fuel Transfer Pump). The ETP allows the operator to simply press a link to refuel the machine, saving time and effort. The width of the walkways on the Doosan DX800LC-7 has also been increased by 20% to 520 millimeters, giving more room for maintenance.
Heavy Applications
The Doosan DX800LC-7 is primarily intended to serve customers in areas such as mining, quarrying, desurfacing and loading large amounts of soil into articulated dump trucks or trucks. The Doosan DX800LC-7 can also be used on large construction and infrastructure projects, especially where significant amounts of soil need to be excavated and then stored or loaded onto trucks.
With the expansion of the excavator line, Doosan now offers machines from one to eighty tons to meet a broad spectrum of customer needs for applications in construction, mining, rental, landscaping, waste and recycling and forestry.
