It was great fun that we were able to make our driven customer Gebr. van den Brand en van Oort BV (GBO), from Uden in Brabant, happy again with brand new excavators. This time with no less than two electric excavators. GBO already has an electric excavator from Staad active, with that machine GBO was also active in the consortium: De Bouwplaats van Morgen (DBVM).
GBO specializes in earthworks, demolition work, rubble recycling, sand extraction and transport. Dirk van den Brand and Wilko van Oort have been running this family business, which has existed for over 60 years, together since 2006. Thanks to the participation and positive experiences of DBVM, GBO is taking action and these two emission-free excavators fit perfectly into their sustainable machine park.
The electric excavators are both equipped with a replaceable Powerbox 400 battery pack , which allows them to operate for more than a working day without having to change or recharge. They can still be changed, which means the machines can be used 24/7, making them extremely flexible.
The machines are identical, the only difference is the colour and the number plates. One machine is sprayed in the company colours of Van Gelder and the other is provided with BAM stickers. GBO works for these companies on the projects of these companies.
We have made GBO happy with two DX165W Electric mobile excavators to be precise. Here at Staad in the workshop we have built up a few more options and delivered parts:

The DX165W Electric #stands just like our other Electric models for its endurance, which is always more than a working day and for this mobile machine that is 12 to 14 hours of operation on one Powerbox 400. But this machine is certainly also known for its unparalleled power. Very suitable for long and heavy working days without having to recharge in between.
