After delivering two brand new DX165W Electric mobile excavators in late summer 2024 , last week we delivered an even larger electric crawler excavator for our customer Boskalis Nederland .
Boskalis Nederland is a leading contractor of hydraulic engineering and civil infrastructure projects with a rich history and a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. Examples include the iconic Delta Works, the large-scale expansion of the Rotterdam port Maasvlakte 2, the groundbreaking coastal protection and nature development project Zandmotor and the construction of the Marker Wadden, an innovative nature restoration project in the Markermeer and various infrastructure projects, such as the A1 and the A6.
This brand new powerhouse on tracks was delivered directly to the project with the Staad combination, where it performs its work completely emission-free. We drove to Wijk aan Zee in the province of North Holland for this. Here our demonstrator gave a demo of this emission-free machine and then the operator could go full throttle.
The electric excavator is equipped with two interchangeable Powerbox 400 battery packs on the machine. This allows it to operate for more than a working day without having to change or recharge. Changing is still possible and a third Powerbox 400 was purchased for this purpose, this machine can therefore be used non-stop, which makes it extremely flexible.
We have made Boskalis happy with the DX355LC Electric crawler excavator to be precise. Here at Staad in the workshop we have built a few more options:
We wish Boskalis Nederland and the operator of this machine many pleasant, safe and emission-free operating hours.
The DX355LC Electric #stands just like our other Electric models for its endurance, which is always more than a working day and for this machine that is 12 to 14 hours of operation on two Powerboxes 400. But this machine is certainly also known for its unparalleled power. Very suitable for long and heavy working days without having to charge or change in between.
