As with all Doosan excavators, great attention has been paid to operator comfort and safety. The DX1000LC-7 has a new, very spacious cab, equipped with ergonomic controls and instruments. Special care has been taken to ensure noise is kept to a minimum through improved sealing of the engine compartment and extensive use of sound deadening materials.
All components and assemblies are designed, built and tested to ensure durability. Multi-stage filters and features such as track guards and cylinder guards for the boom and stick, automatic lubrication system and lubricated and sealed track links are designed to provide superior reliability and long service life. The DX1000LC-7 is easy to maintain, minimizing downtime.
The DX1000LC-7 excavator is powered by the new Stage 5 engine of the proven Perkins 2806J diesel engine, delivering a high output of 469 kW (629 hp), more than any other machine in its class. The engine meets Stage 5 emission regulations by using exhaust gas recirculation, selective catalyst reduction, diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter (DPF) aftertreatment technologies.
The DPF regenerates automatically every 25 hours and the excavator continues to operate unaffected during this regeneration phase. The operator can check the status of the DPF through the display on the gauge panel in the cab.
The high horsepower of the engine is combined with a Virtual Bleed Off (VBO) hydraulic system (D-ECOPOWER+ ) and is controlled by an electric manipulator (FEH) that provides a best-in-class hydraulic flow of (3x 523) - 1569 liters /min and a high system pressure of 360 bar, which together contribute to the best performance in the 100 ton market.
Doosan's D-ECOPOWER+ FEH technology uses an electronically pressure controlled pump in a closed center hydraulic system to optimize productivity and fuel consumption, depending on the mode selected. A closed centered main control valve minimizes pressure loss, while the electric pressure-controlled pump manages and optimizes engine power more effectively.
Software is used to electronically reproduce the benefits of an open center hydraulic system with very little energy loss. The hydraulic system and engine power are fully optimized and synchronized, further reducing losses within the system.
Improved feedback to the operator via the joystick results in improved machine control and reduced operator fatigue. The acceleration and deceleration of the excavator's workgroup functions are smoother, allowing operators to perform repetitive swinging and digging movements with less jerky movements.
To provide optimal options when working with the DX1000LC-7 excavator, the operator can switch between two modes - boom or swing - prioritizing boom or swing movements respectively, so they can best tailor how to use the machine for the application they have.
Higher working speeds are guaranteed by the two-spool Boom Down Regeneration system in the DX1000LC-7, which also reduces fuel consumption. The two-spool hydraulic system for the bucket cylinder also increases hydraulic power and bucket operating speed, further reducing fuel consumption. The DX1000LC-7 also has boom/stick rupture valves as standard for increased safety and to prevent accidents caused by hydraulic hose ruptures on site.
Already excelling in space and ergonomics, the new cab in the DX1000LC-7 has been designed to significantly improve operator comfort and ease of operation. The cab has a new high quality seat and offers more features than other machines on the market as standard, ensuring excellent controllability and high precision in all applications. The main new features in the cab are:
- New 8-inch color LCD touchscreen display, providing more information through a 30% larger screen
-Stereo system integrated in the meter panel (with Bluetooth streaming function)
-Keyless start system
-Improves cabin interior design, including:
-Improved air conditioning/defrost performance
- Seat heating (2-step)
-360o cameras (AVM, surveillance all around)
- Full LED lighting package
- Side protection and walkways
-Fops guard, required for quarry application to comply with FOPS level 2
-Air compressor and air gun for cabin cleaning (option)
A full 360 degree camera system is standard, consisting of a front camera, two side cameras and a rear camera. The camera display is separate from the gauge panel and provides a full view around the excavator and allows the operator to see the area outside the machine from above. This is standard combined with an AVM (around view monitoring) system.
LED work lights are also standard on the DX1000LC-7, providing up to 75% better illumination of the working area around the excavator, increasing productivity during twilight and night work and helping to prevent site accidents.
The new DX1000LC-7 is factory installed with Doosan's advanced DoosanCONNECT wireless fleet monitoring system. The DoosanCONNECT system provides a web-based fleet management solution that is very useful for monitoring machine performance and safety and promoting preventive maintenance.
The cooling system in the DX1000LC-7 provides greater cooling capacity with reduced fan speed and cooling fan power requirements. A reversible cooling fan is fitted as standard and can be used in reverse to blow away dust in the radiator and oil cooler, saving time and effort on maintenance work and making the DX1000LC-7 ideal for working in heavy duty applications . To complement its industry-leading performance, the DX1000LC-7 is also designed for maximum uptime on site with proven, high-quality, durable components such as Bosch Rexroth MCV and main pump systems, a Doosan Mottrol slew and a very robust Berco undercarriage.
The DX1000LC-7 has a new heavy-duty front end with a total of two different front combinations that are possible based on 7.2 meter short and 8.4 meter long booms. The counterweight design has been changed to include a horizontal mounting system in the DX1000LC-7, which is easy to assemble/disassemble and has a longer service life.
The DX1000LC-7 also has an ETP (Electric Fuel Transfer Pump) as standard. With the ETP, the operator can simply push a switch to start fueling the machine, saving time and effort on maintenance work. The width of the gangways on the DX1000LC-7 has also been increased to 520mm, providing more space for maintenance and to help prevent accidents.
The DX1000LC-7 is primarily intended to serve customers in mining and quarrying, overburden removal and high volume material loading into articulated dump trucks or rigid frame trucks. The DX1000LC-7 can also be used on large construction and infrastructure projects, particularly where significant amounts of material need to be excavated and stored or loaded into trucks for movement. With this expansion of its excavator line, Doosan now offers machines from 1 to 100 tons for a broad spectrum of customer needs and applications in construction, mining, rental, landscaping, waste management, recycling and demolition.
