Last week we made our loyal customer from Swaay , from Schijndel in Brabant, happy again with a brand new excavator. This Develon replaces the 11-year-old, then Doosan, DX160W-3. No less than 17,000 operating hours were on the counter. The choice for a new and more sustainable excavator, which fits in with the sustainable ambitions of van Swaay, was therefore somewhat easier with the top performance of its predecessor.
This new machine, with an extremely comfortable and luxurious cabin and equipped with an efficient and powerful 6-cylinder Stage V engine, is a pleasure for every operator. Business-wise interesting because of its economical consumption by activating the Economy mode, which is one of the 4 power settings.
For the activities at van Swaay, mainly sorting wood, a special mono boom is present. This boom, in contrast to the word 'mono', consists of two parts with a special gripper/wood clamp connected to it with which enormous tree trunks can easily be picked up. Details of the boom: main boom 4.60 meters and a dipper stick with a length of 2.50 meters.
Of course we delivered this new excavator to the customer address and our demonstrator gave a demo before the actual commissioning, we always take plenty of time for that. The machine is now fully operational and we already have some pictures of that, you can see these below in the album.
We were able to make Swaay happy with a strong Develon DX160W-7 mobile excavator to be precise and we were able to build some options on it:
We wish Swaay many pleasant and safe hours of operation with this acquisition.
